If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
We were warmly greeted by the most friendly staff members who went the extra mile to assist and attend to our needs to ensure our outmost comfort. When I'm passing by in the future I'll definitely stop at Crags.
The service was superb! The staff is so friendly and attentive. We mentioned that we're on our way back after our honeymoon, and after dinner in town, we were pleasantly surprised by a bottle of champagne awaiting us in the room. It's the friendly service that sets Crags above the rest. 10/10👏🏻

We spent two weeks at this fabulous Lodge. Situated suitably away, but not too far, from the December Plett frenzy. Crags Country Lodge is the prefect getaway for short or long stays.
The management under James, the kitchen under his wife Alice is exceptional. This is shown every day with a smile and a chat, their staff similarly trained. We highly recommend Crags Country Lodge.

Wonderful find on the garden route . well appointed rooms with everything you could want. Without exception the staff are friendly and always smiling. Alice is a very talented chef . Valentines dinner was superb . James has his finger on the pulse and nothing is too
much trouble. Well done to the team , we will be back as soon as possible.

What a find! Beautiful views, amazing food and coffees and drinks, gorgeous individual rooms and wonderful knowledgeable staff. Absolute perfection on all levels. James advised us on all the vineyards near Cape Town for the next part of our trip and Alice cooked us delicious food to suit us all, even the jam was homemade! Such a tranquil setting xx

“Head chef Alice Burnham-King (previously of Singita’s award-winning safari lodges) celebrates local and seasonal cuisine through tasty, thoughtful and inventive dishes served up in the sunlight-strewn dining room. It’s lovely to have a long, coursed dinner. Each dish is more magical than the last, from the red wine poached pear salad and seared tuna steak (melt-in-your-mouth brilliant), to a superb Moroccan-inspired m’hanncha – pastry filled with almond and date paste, then shaped into a snake-like form and served with saffron and orange blossom syrup, vanilla Chantilly cream and citrus segments. The expansive deck is an idyllic setting for an afternoon wine sampling while enjoying the breathtaking views. Cocktails? Also, terrific. Breakfast, which is included, is a glorious multi-course affair including piping-hot cappuccinos, fluffy croissants and oozy-yolked eggs. On a cool misty morning, there’s nothing better to warm up your bones.”
